The Accalia Point Solar PV marks the Company’s entry into the U.S. Solar PV market. Texas has excellent solar irradiation, along with vast land resources and a mostly deregulated energy market. These factors, combined with a long history of oil & gas and surging demand for renewable energy markets, suggests that Solar PV has significant room for growth in the area.
The Accalia Point Solar PV is located in Cameron County, Southern Texas, USA and encompasses 1,120 acres. It is a proposed 221 MWp Solar PV Project, with an operational term of 30 years that can be extended up to 45 years. Full interconnection studies have been completed and working towards negotiation of an interconnection agreement with a local transmission utility.
